Mater is a performative poem discussing the pillage of lands and bodies. It’s about isolation, uprooting, spoilage, rape and relationship to the earth, a rumble and yearn for a body/land connection and somehow revenge. Written during Covid-, it is a variation on the theme of the word « earth » (terre) in French, repeated in a cathartic chant.
