AVBH is an artist-researcher. Her practice examines power relations—both intimate and political—as well as the forms of invisibility inherited from European modernity. She is interested in traces, fragile evidence, unstable images and silenced testimonies. Her research takes the form of films, photographs, installations, performances and poetic texts, and extends to atmospheres and olfactory installations. She explores these sensitive spaces as sites of tension and control, but also of disruption and political reconfiguration, to create acts of discreet sabotage — where the visible resists.
A graduate of EHESS and UAL (London), she developed a curatorial practice at La Colonie (Paris) combining art, film and research around issues of decolonisation and the sharing of voices, which she continues to pursue as a freelancer.
