A Place for Us (performance)
Written by Isadora Alves & Alix Hugonnier

A commentary on the possibility to meet and exist, A Place for Us (performance) presents performers producing a proxi-kiss in an unsettling atmosphere.

Whilst the atmosphere is infused with strangeness, the performers mingle their saliva on a pH sensitive paper, drawing a record of their melting microbiota and forging contamination, queering scientific instruments to reclaim agency and presence in the context of the technologization of artistic concepts.

A Place for Us takes on the name of 1969 eponym book by Alma Routsong, discussed this year by researcher Milena Charbit in her book on Lesbian spacial tactics (Shed Publishing, 2025).
